Working on no signal today offline:

  • Copied TODOs from 20260909215113
  • Shortly after rolling out the 1.7.1 update, I had to roll back 1.7.1 to 1.7.0 because my fix to grab focus in the workshop bricked the game accidentally. The fix blocked interactions with anything else in the room, because it would re-grab focus away when you tried to click on a button.
  • I spent most of the day trying to figure out the SDFGI problem. I'll make a build for Steam and QA test later.

TODO:

    • The affected user reported back to me that it was fixed on 1.7.1. Not sure what the issue was, but I guess updating to Godot 4.7 worked!
    • Ugh... not this issue again. After lots of testing, it appears that adjusting my code to load the scene directly using Godot's new scene changing functions instead of doing it manually seems to have made my workaround (which happens later) work again. Though, I did have to adjust my workaround to detect the World3D more appropriately as in some cases it was resetting the SDFGI setting on the inventory's World3D instead of the current scene's World3D.
