Working on no signal offline:

  • Tried to add toggles which change the look, orbit, and panning controls to be toggles instead of pressed buttons. However, left click and left drag already have separate meanings in the game, so I can’t make the look control a toggle without getting rid of the existing left click behavior. After thinking about it for a while and talking to a friend about it, I think it would be best if I implemented input remapping instead. When the input map is defined, I can add entries for toggling the look, orbit, and panning controls and leave it up to the player to decide how they would like to toggle those states.

  • I could break the cassette tapes sometimes, which means you need to manually re-wind the tape back into the cassette.

  • Maybe we should color coordinate drives and computers? I didn’t like it when I did this before, but maybe I could approach the problem in a different way… Also, the colors would mostly be useful for people who don’t read but I’m designing a game that depends a lot on reading.
