Working on fishy facts offline:
- Copied TODOs from 20260712045712
- I did another private in-person playtest this morning and found a few more things I should fix.
- I think I'm going to trim the TODO down.
- Instead of focusing on a demo, I think it makes more sense to get as much of the game's dialog and puzzles done instead.
- This is because I want to lower the amount of risk when getting artists involved, and having all of the dialog and puzzles finalized in advance minimizes the amount of work we'd have to discard or add on later.
- This also lets me focus on implementing the other mechanics and checking how much fun it is with playtesting
- That said, I think some QoL will be nice.
- I think it would be prudent to add a feature
which records player data for analysis.
Specifically, it should record:
- How long does a player spend on a puzzle?
- What is the size of their smallest and largest solution over time?
- Did they find a solution, the small solution, and/or the large solution?
- When does the player read certain dialogs?
