Dr. Christopher Mah (PhD) is a scientist at the National Museum of Natural History in the department of Invertabrate zoology and is the world authority on Sea Stars. Essentially, if someone finds a new Sea Star, he's consulted to determine whether or not the Sea Star is actually new or not.

In this video, Dr. Christopher Mah shares his new publication about new deep-sea Goniasteridae (Asteroidea) species from the Northern Pacific. This publication was made possible with in situ samples from EVNautilus as well as annotations done on their video footage by citizen scientists.
